Brand History

In 1981 Karen Millen and Kevin Stanford used a £100 loan to buy some shirts which they sold to friends and family. Their designs were so successful that they quickly branched out into the party network retail sector, in order to grow the company and expose the brand name. After just 3 years of network trading they soon opened their first store in 1983. Since the opening of the first store the Karen Millen designer brand has become a global success and currently has 311 stores in 40 countries worldwide. Karen Millen now has flagship stores in London, New York, Dubai, Moscow, Los Angeles and Barcelona.
